NEEDS H2O



NEEDS H2O is a new charitable organization Tim Inskeep is creating to use his more than 25 years of passion and experience teaching kids to thrive and appreciate the water to help those with special needs. With NEEDS H2O he has combined his personal and professional interests to develop a non-profit organization dedicated to helping both children and adults with special needs realize their full potential through water sports. He has seen stand up paddling and surfing offer independence, confidence, release of physical tension and a new outlook on life for those with special needs. These changes don’t just occur on the water, but carry through to the rest of their lives, and to their family, friends, caretakers and others.

While visiting Maui, I had an opportunity to learn to SUP from Tim Inskeep. Tim is not only an outstanding teacher with a simple clear way of instructing SUP techniques, but he also is a great person with great karma and a pleasure to spend time with. Within a very short time Tim had me proficient enough to really enjoy the sport. I enjoyed it so much that as soon as I got back to Seattle I bought a board, paddle, and of course, a wetsuit to handle the cold Puget Sound. I have been SUPing as often as I can ever since. I attribute my continuing enthusiasm to my introduction to the sport from Tim. If you have a chance to go SUPing with him, DO IT. You won't ever regret it !!!

My name is Craig and I'm a Firefighter from Denver Colorado. I got a SUP surfing lesson from Tim and it was the best experience I've ever had on or in the water. You feel like you're the captain of your own craft while you glide above the surface. It's very relaxing and a kick ass workout too. I felt muscles I didn't know I had after the lesson. It's opened a whole new dimension for a crappy old surfer like myself. The possibilities of where you can go are endless. Tim makes the process easy and fun. You don't even feel like you're learning something new, Tim makes you think you've always known how to do this, you just needed a place to go.
